Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: Who are the Co‑Founder Couple?
A: We’re Siân and Andrew Jones, partners in life and business, sharing our journey of launching and scaling businesses together. Our unique perspective blends business strategy with relationship dynamics.
Q2: What is the CFC Community?
A: It’s an ever-growing content library of articles, frameworks, tools, videos and more that are tailored specifically to business owners that are working with a close friend, family member or life partner. Topics explored include co-founder dynamics, effective communication, time management, money matters, balancing work and love - and much more.
Q3: But what do you actually do?
Running a business is not always easy, and neither are relationships - we help you build the capacity to grow through the difficult times and avoid common pitfalls.
Our primary service is coaching people who work with someone they love, that might be a friend, a family member or a romantic partner. Sometimes we coach one person in the team, sometimes we coach both together, sometimes both individually - it depends on your needs. Most people come to us either when they’re starting out, so that they set themselves up for success, or when they hit a speed bump along the way, and need some support, from people with lived experience.
We also run retreats for business owners and have a CFC community featuring a rich library of resources that can help businesses and relationships thrive.
Q4: You’re obviously married, but I work with a friend. Are your services relevant to us?
Yes! Many of the questions you face as a couple working together are similar to when you work with a friend or family member. How do we maintain our friendship when the going gets tough? How do I give feedback without risking our relationship? How can we work to our strengths, whilst not precluding personal growth opportunities? How do we have constructive conversations about money?
Q5: I work in my family’s business. Are your services relevant to me?
We think so! Navigating difficult conversations with a parent or sibling is hard enough at the best of times, but throw your joint livelihoods into the mix, and things can get extra tricky. Having someone to help you gain greater clarity, find the confidence and words you need to communicate effectively with family, not to mention give you advice around scaling the business may be the difference you need to succeed.
Q6: I’m thinking about going into business with my sister. How can The Co-Founder Couple help me.
There are a few ways we can support you.
You and/or your sister could jump on an introductory coaching call with one of us to explore your reasons for joining forces, uncover the pros and cons of working together and co-create some basic ground rules to help you make the decision to move forward together or not.
If you decide to go for it, we’d highly recommend booking a package of six coaching sessions. These not only help you navigate the early days of business, but also help you to build greater awareness of self and of each other’s strengths and achilles heals. It’s basically like removing the hurdles in your path before you’ve even come across them.
You can also subscribe to our CFC Community where we have a library of ever-growing resources, and you can book into one of our retreats to meet other business owners like yourself.
